About Maggie
I am a person-centered therapist who believes in each individual's capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change through empowerment, support, and collaboration.
Because therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience, I take an eclectic and highly individualized approach to treatment. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs, goals, and strengths of the person sitting in front of me.
I specialize in helping individuals and couples foster healthier communication—both spoken and unspoken. Together, we explore patterns that may be creating disconnection and work toward rebuilding emotional safety, trust, and understanding within relationships. I help clients develop the skills to not only hear one another but to truly listen and connect with greater intention and empathy.
I believe that authenticity and compassion are essential components of the therapeutic process. I am deeply committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe enough to show up exactly as you are.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I am a registered yoga teacher and Reiki Master. These additional trainings allow me to incorporate holistic, mind-body approaches when appropriate, offering clients a more comprehensive and personalized therapeutic experience.
Beyond Therapy
I'm a happily married mom currently in the trenches of the teenage years and surviving! I'm an animal and nature lover, gardener, and amateur chef. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family and cuddling with my dogs. I love hearing and sharing personal ghost stories and can be found watching ghost-hunting shows on any given night. At the same time, I fully embrace my love of Bravo reality TV and all the drama that comes with it!
I've lived many lives outside of being a therapist, and I believe those experiences have shaped the way I connect with others. Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect it to, and my own personal and professional journey has given me a deep appreciation for resilience, reinvention, and growth. While no two experiences are the same, I believe that having navigated life's challenges and transitions allows me to bring a level of understanding, authenticity, and perspective that goes beyond what a textbook can teach.
At the end of the day, I'm a real person who values genuine connection. Whether you're coming to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, heartbroken, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable, supported, and accepted exactly as you are.
